2. When a person is appointed as a judge of a superior court—whether the High Court or the Supreme Court—he remains an ordinary human being for about six months. After that, he starts believing himself to be almost godlike.

3. Take the example before you—Justice Mansoor. From 8:30 in the morning until 1:30 in the afternoon, five days a week, highly educated people—holding degrees such as B.A., LL.B., M.A., LL.B., and even multiple qualifications—stand before him.

4. For six hours every day, Advocates repeatedly address him with expressions such as, 'My Lord,' 'Your Lordship,' or 'My Lord, with your permission.' No one dares to say, 'Your Lordship, you are mistaken,' or to directly challenge what Judge says. Instead, they phrase it politely: 'Advocate could not say that Advocate is wrong. But may Perhaps I have not been able to present my case in the proper words.'
